I photograph weddings the way a trusted friend with a camera would. Quietly, without interrupting, watching for the things that happen when you aren’t paying attention.

I’m Miranda,
A documentary wedding photographer based in Dallas. I photograph weddings for couples who want to feel like themselves, not like they’re auditioning for a magazine.
I think of myself as a family historian first. What I’m really doing on your wedding day is preserving a record of the people you love, in a moment that will never come back.
I’m quiet and observant by nature, which means I blend in easily and catch things other photographers might miss. The look a parent gives you before the ceremony. The way your best friend laughs. The moment after the kiss, when everyone exhales.
I don’t believe photography should take anything away from your experience. My job is to make sure you forget the camera is there, so you can feel present on the most important day of your lives. That means no shot lists, no posing sessions, no interruptions. If directed portraits are something your hoping for, I’d gently encourage you to find someone who specializes in that. But if you want to simply be present on your wedding day, and trust that someone is quietly preserving all of it, I think we’re going to work really well together.
What I care about most is presence over performance, beauty in the small detials, honesty in every frame, and making sure your wedding day feels peaceful from start to finish. I want every couple I work with to feel safe, seen and completely themselves.
The Process
Simple. Calm. No surprises.
We start with a conversation- a quick call if you’re a phone call person, or a short form if you’d rather skip straight to it. Either way works, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours.
Once we’re aligned, a signed contract and retainer holds your date. From there, you’ll fill out my questionnaire and we’ll work together to build a timeline that gives the day room to breathe. Unlimited email communication is included, and I’m always happy to hop on a planning call as we get closer.
On your wedding day, I’ll show up with four or five cameras and disapper into the background. The majority of your gallery will be digital, with 35mm and 120 film scans woven throughout- the film adds a warmth and timelessness that I love for wedding days. I can set aside a short window for family formals if that matters to you, but the bulk of your day will be entirely unscripted. Within six weeks, you’ll receive a fully edited online gallery. Download everything. Print what you love. Keep it forever.
